You guys are going scare him...Its being logged, trust me. They operate like a business...like my company I look and see where a certain user was at what time, day, if he was spanking it..whatever. They are protecting themselves, whether tehy decide to start enforcing or getting crap from there isp is another thing.

Just to be safe, don't download any **** or MUSIC or ANYTHING!! Trust me, when I was in college there was a Sociology professor (how ironic) that got nailed for downloading child ****ography. Serves him right. In short, they monitor every last thing you do, but they will only come after you if somebody forces them to or you cross the line too much.

Hey guys. Last night, I attempted to use my laptop in the library to download music for the first time. It was around 10:35, and the library closes at 11:00. So basically, I only had 15 minutes to download.

Well, I must say, everything went off without any problem (a few remote queries, here and there). I was able to download 50 mbs of random music during that time. That was the good thing. The bad thing is that I always feel like someone is watching me or breathing down my neck.

I strongly believe that they wasn't monitoring me. I doubt they monitor anyone, unless the downloading is done using their systems. I understand that (well sort of).

I paid $120.00 technology fee per semester ($40.00 per month) to use their internet on my own laptop, and all I can do is surf the web. It just doesn't make sense.
