Default Can't activate dma mode

sponsored links

Have a pioneer 106d .....master on secondary channel .........windows 98se.......it's burning at 2x speed so i think this is the problem.....everytime i tick dma mode and reboot,it comes back unticked.........any ideas.......and yes i've looked thru past posts but can't seem to find anything relating to my prob.
The 106d is burnig at 2x speed instead of 4 and i think this may be the problem,so if anybody can help me activate dma it will be much apprecated.

Put the lite-on as slave on the primary IDE channel along with the HDD and leave the pioneer as master on the secondry, This may be your problem as having 2 readers and/or writers insn't recommended on the same IDE channel.
