I don't think microsoft are getting smarter, it's just a region problem and isnt some new uber protection. Nightfire ntsc also used to work fine as long as your pal xbox was in ntsc mode and you had a tv that could display 50/60hz.

Anyway..

Even patching the insomnia release with the [url=***********.console-news.org/index.php?_site=17&_subsite=2&vMode=nfo&system=2&n fo=1528]wam patch there are still random bugs apart from the driving levels on a pal xbox playing from hdd. (might be different from dvdr)

A few things i noticed.

Sometimes it starts you right in level 1 without seeing any ea logo or game intro. in training mode it wouldn't let me lay the spider bomb. after saving you can still see the please don't turn your xbox off msg when you pick your next level, there are probably more too but these were the obvious ones i noticed. if you play in ntsc mode all these problems are gone and you get to see the intro, but of course that'll be in black and white unless you have a 50/60hz tv. there is a pal version out for all you 50hz peeps, but it's only in french and german.

tv's so cheap these days,if your a gamer and get these release's like this then why don't you get a decent TV with 50/60hz picture, then all your probs sorted, even cheap portables can play back pal/ntsc pictures in color these days

why blame the scene all the time, after all it was released as ntsc not Pal,and the INS works from DVDR in NTSC as Stated, its up to you guys to have the right setup,
