what riteks are you using?, had a few bad ones but most have been fine.

the overprinted ones have given me the most coasters (not surprising really).

firmware 1.06

used these discs:-

orange top 4x ritek overprints ( 2 of 50 failed errors near edge of disc)
datasafe 4x ritek (all burnt ok)
datasafe 2x ritek (6 failed but all from same batch of 10 other 90 ok)

all the dvd+r disc ive burnt have been ok.

think the drive has problems writing to unbalanced discs, could be fixed by a firmware update hopefully.

Have to disagree with the above ive had 2 of these drives and both have the same problem with ritek G04's, my m8 also has one which came fitted to his PC he's just purchased thus also having the same problems, It burns them fine and they play ok on the pc but out of 3 standalones they will only play in 1 yet the same dvdrs copied with the same software and same source all play flawlessly when burnt with a pioneer 106D, explain this to me please cause i can't figure it out.
