Never said it did but thats 3 good ritek brands mentioned on this post that are having compatibility issues, Anyhow i dont want to start swapping brands to suit the writer i want a writer thats does what its supposed to do, hense its being exchanged for a pioneer 107 which i should have bought in the first place, the only reason i got the NEC was because of the good price and most of the peeps on here giving them great reviews, now all i see is peeps complaining about them and if my experience is anything to go by no wonder.

Yikes!!! Thanks for the heads up on this fellas. I was considering the NEC as a potential replacement but if people are having Ritek compatibility issues with this drive then it is worthless to me as Ritek/Ridata is all I use. Thankfully my 105 is still going strong but I always like to stay up to date on the latest writers since I never know when I am going to need a replacement.

Saw this in a review on the 2500a. Some test results using various brands of -R media with the below showing how it handled Datasafe Ritek.

PI uncorrectable errors(PO) Avg/Sec:

The result is again perfect! This is simply the best result we have ever had with ritekg04 discs. Highly recommended

This is strange because based on this I thought the NEC would be a good drive to get. After reading recent posts thoiugh maybe not.
