Default DVD media purchase ?'s

I'm looking at buying 50 or so DVD-R. I came across a 100 pack of mediapro for 56$ are they any good. I just want to back up my movies. If not can someone help me out with a site that I can get some in the US at a fair price.
http://store.yahoo.com/supermediastore/mediapro4x.html

THANKS

AJ

Cheap media=cheap results. Take a look at the media forum listed above and you will find People's recommendations.

AN31. This is Infodisc/Infosmart/Fo Sung of Taiwan.

The discs aren't too bad -- at least the ones I've used aren't. Some batches will run at 8x on a patched Pio 107, and they're one of the very few discs that'll read at full speed on my hacked Toshiba 1612 (read back a full 16x right to about the 4.2Gb mark, which is highly impressive -- Riteks start to slow at about the 3Gb mark). The PI readings aren't that bad either. So in my experience they'll be compatible.

But, being a cheap disc, you're at the mercy of the importer as to whether they're A-Grade or something less good. If you get a good batch, these discs are fine -- way better than Princo, put it that way.

Yeah, but I was talking about cheap media in terms of cheap quality. Anyways 56 cents a disc (for discs listed above) cannot possibly be a high quality product at this point in time.
