M8, do you actually read any of the posts in this forum????

Look at [url=http://www.cdrom-guide.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=268919]this thread for an excellent all round camera at a great bargain price. Battery performance is good, just ask in the store for decent rechargeable batts.

he may be in the us but yeah what Virgin San still applies.

a60 is 2mp but for the average user that is enough (upto a4 prints), a70 (3mp) and a80 (4mp + adjustable tft) are models above that you may also want to consider

if you want something truly pocket size then the digital elph/ (ixus in the uk) is good, along with pentax optio s series, but expect to may more and lose any manual controls.

personaly would never touch any of the the pc manufacturers camera, usually for a 3+mp camera expect to pay more than £/$ 150, if its less its probably missing something pretty important- e.g. optical zoom.

Digital zoom is very over rated, and you can achive any digital zoom you want basically using any half decent pc photo software.

Same Canon A60 on USA Ebuyer site @ $173.57, seems a fair price compared to other cameras on the site.

Love my Nikon 4300, excellent quality pics, especially in manual mode. Retails for $399 but Abe's of Maine sells them for $309 and if you buy at Staples or another store that does price-matching and match to Abe's, you get it for $299. Also, Dell was selling them for $265 2 weeks ago after a sale + online discounts. Great deal for a 4MP camera if you're looking for one.
