Default Whats The Difference Beyween DVD-R & DVD+R?


 
My DVD burner for some reason only supports DVD+R's so I just wanted to know if this kind of meida is ok to burn PS2 games. I also wanted to know the advantages and disadvantages.

Its just a certain format. -R's are more compatable, especailly with older dvd players.Some PS2's cant read +R's all you can do is try. Not all game systems prodoce the same results.

Yup, it's merely a difference in formatting and -R is more compatible with all versions of the PS2. If you burner offers the booktype option you can select the DVD-ROM option and it will make a big improvement in your compatibility.

also I heard that the ps2 laser wans't that good so will the DVD+R's mess up my laser?

Well, it really depends. Most Version 9s will read DVD+R just fine but a few people have reported issues. Just make sure it's a quality +R disc (ie Ricoh dye) and it should be just fine.
