Default Graphics card which one??in the UK


 
Need some advise on a better grahics card,
some of the newer games ie Far cry only running on lowest specs,on my current card

with around £150 max whats the best grahics card i could get (links to retailers be helpfull too)
must be able to play latest games at highest spec & likes of half life 2/Doom 3 when there released
think my PC specs are ok P4 2.6 ghz/ 768 ddr ram just need new grahics card

Only one choice at the moment really, Radeon 9600XT.

Can't help with links though as I'm not in the U.K.

No way!

For 150 quid pick yourself up a Radeon 9800 pro for around that price. Much much better than a 9600XT.

Look at www.overclockers.co.uk, or www.microdirect.co.uk

If you can tell the difference on your supercomputer between a 9800Pro and a 9600XT, then you are better than the reviewers in the computer mags I read.

Anyway, the post said 150 max, doesn't mean you need to spend that!

The Radeon 9600XT is by far the best value chip.

looks like its gonna be a 9600XT 256mb
found one at dabs for £105 incl vat

any one dealt with dabs r they ok?
b4 i put my order in whats the equivalent geforce card specs to the radeon 9600xt 256mb & whats your preference
