Unhappy Usb Port Not Recognised...


 
Please help....I have an ALADDIN5 2A5KKJ1EC-00 motherboard.

My USB ports plug in to the mobo. with 2 little cables.

In properties of the My Computer icon...device manager...there is no USB port listed.

I have just bought a digital camera, and need the USB poet to download the images through.

In no way can I find any way to make this happen.

Please please help.

I have searched the net far and wide to try and find drivers for an aladdin5 on board usb ....but to no avial.....

please help...

Have done it divers....what I DID do was enable the USB in the BIOS, but still, my digital camera etc won't work through it even though it now shows in device manager!!!!!!!

I had that with a Soyo mobo, took it back to whole computer the shop, no joy. I ended up buying a PCI card with USB ports on it, works great.

Thanks stevieboy...looks like thats my way out

Theres no o/p voltage on the +vcc pin of the USB connector....thinking about it, I can only assume an internal fuse has perhaps blown on the mobo. protecting the USB o/p.

Without a cct. diagram for the mobo. I am unable to follow this through.
