Cd-rom Probs.

HI I have a hp pavilion that is not recognizing the cd-rom and floppy drives.both say they are working properly but when i insert a cd it says file sys error 608,when i incert a floppy it says device not ready.any insight here i would be very thankful for

Did you ever get the problem fixed with your Pavilion? Mine is not recognizing either one of my CD Roms.
