nope...it doesn't have to be that hard...all you gotta do is download 'dvddecrypter'....it's a program for extracting DVD movies into the computer but it also have a function for extracting the WHOLE DVD image into an ISO file...

DVDdecrypter will make a copy of your DVD(only) game into your computer with file name like this....game.iso...it'll also make a MDS file with it....DVDdecrypter can also burn the file back onto a DVD-r...

search google for dvddecrypter....for tutorial...Look for tutorial any that tells you how to copy the whole DVD into the computer....go to videohelp.com if you need some tutorial...I would've tell you but without actually using the program, it's pointless to just read....good luck....

anymore ??...ask away....

so DVDdecrypter will collect the files from the game making it into one file right?

..the ISO and MDS file has to burn into a dvd-r

ill probably ask more questions...

because i (or we people) want a complete backup

This rips encrypted dvd video files onto your harddrive for further processing. It removes region code protection and macrovision. You can either A) rip all files press F or B) .ISO mode press R

A) Open DVDDecrypter and choose File | Mode | File Mode and hit CTRL-A to select all files. Press F

B) Open DVDDecrypter and choose File | Mode | ISO | READ to rip to an .ISO or Press R. If it shows Number of Layers: 1 then you can simply rip to .ISO and burn the .ISO with DVDDecrypter. Most are dual-layered DVDs though.

Mount the .iso you just ripped. Right click on daemon tools, choose VIRTUAL CD/DVD-ROM | Device 0: | Mount Image and locate the ripped .iso file. It'll show as Generic STEALTH DVD.
Daemon Tools 3.44 released December 31, 2003 download mirror [489KB] freeware

Many DVD related programs require ASPI driver. Unzip this and double-click INSTASPI.BAT to install

are these the exact steps? do i have to d/l Daemon tools and ASPI driver?

if these are the exact steps .. after doing all of that .. then i get to burn the game?

That seems way complicated for DD.

Just use: IS0: Read
Then use: ISO: Write

Thats all there is to it.
