Default IE bowser problem

sponsored links

If I open up Internet Explorer from the desktop, it opens maximized & that is how I want it. However, if I click a link within a webpage & it needs to open a new browser window, it opens it a small tiny box. I then have to maximize it, but is there anyway I can get the setting back so it will open any new browser windows either automatically maximized or at least somewhat larger than it is now?
