I just purchased a very expensive, very sophisticated program for Digitizing Designs for a Sewing Application. Viking/Husqvarna. I cannot get my HP Laptop, ze546us to see, load or even open the PDF files on the CD. I can read other CD's but apparently not this one. I have tried turning off my anti-virus and anti-spam programs (Norton's) but still no luck reading anything on the CD, although I can see the files, just can't open any of them. The technical files written in Word won't open either, they seem to encounter some kind of a file read error. Is there any speculation about whether I need to obtain a different program CD, or if this is a commonly encountered problem . . . ????????

If you have access to another pc try reading on that.
If not chances are the cd itself is faulty.
Refer to supplier of program.

If they are PDF files then I assume that you are trying to open them with adobe acrobat reader.
