Question upgrading MB & CPU ?

sponsored links

Hi,
I'm thinking of replacing my PIII-500 with a faster CPU but i want to keep my PC100 memory sticks. What Pentium or AMD MB will take my existing memories?
Tia,

you need a mobo that takes sdram for your pc100 some mobos will take both sdram and ddr ram (but not together). so just check the specs of the mobo before you buy. also your original mobo may already accept a higher cpu then you piii500 already in it, so may also be worth checking the specs on that before you have to buy another mobo and cpu.

If your going to the expence of an upto date mobo and 2Ghz + processor, why would you wanna keep SDRAM, to see the full potential of what you are getting get some decent DDR memory try to go as high as the MObo will run with the memory speed
