Hey guys, Hopefully someone here will be able to solve this irritating problem Im having with my dvd burner, I've completely been unable to burn any dvd's as of just recently, I get the "internal target failure" message when I'm burning in nero., I've tried everything, different media, different firware, cleaned the lens, is there anything else I should b doing? Ive searched hundreds of posts with still no help to me, I would be eternally gratefully for any help or opinions that will solve this f*$cking problem.
Thanks in advance.

Here is my nero log.

This really sounds like a problem with the actual drive or it's quality.

Is it still under warranty?

I would definitely try another one if it is.

Well, since I removed the cover to clean the lens, it's void of warranty now, but I could care less really, I'm willing to accept the drive is faulty, but seeing as I can still burn cd's, I dont understand the real problem. Its not all bad...I guess. Bloody LG, pieces of **** drives I will never buy another, this is my second LG burner and Ive heard other stories similar to mine with the same drive. Oh well, you live and learn I guess.

What I wanna know is, why am I still able to burn cd's, if there is a hardware error?
Bloody hell...anyone know what could have caused this?
Firmware upgrade?
Although after I did the upgrade everything was sweet, for a few good burns, then it started.
