Default USB HDD Problem??????????

Hi guys i have a small problem, i have a 200gb seagate barracuda hdd and when i start my PC (running Win XP sp2) it boots up and goes okay.
However i have to right click on "my computer" and go into my device manager and select "disk management" where there i have to "reactivate disk"
This is the only USB HDD i run all the others (2) run normal.
I have started in safe mode and it runs normal allowing me to explore the drive but when in normal mode it's a reboot straight away.

I have updated my bios i have checked my HDD and it seems fine (according to seagate HDD online check fac)

How do i get round this??????????????

I did get a message saying sysdrv, sys caused page fault but how do i get a sysdrv.sys file?
I am at my wits end?

Cheers for your time
