Default External DVD burner good as installed burner!

I wanting to start backup up my PS2 games and some DVDs! I have a
Pentium 4 2.0GHZ
256MB DDRS DRAM memory
60DB ultra DMA hard drive
CD and DVD drive with CD-R writer

Here are the two Im looking at, ones a external Pioneer 108 external *****************.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=44955&item=5153093 578&rd=1

Pioneer 108

I guess what really want to know is, is the external as good as the other for what I want to do? Because they both have the same features! Any help would be GREAT! And THANKS for your time!
