I have the mod chip installed and it plays copied ps2 games no problemo, trouble is I can't seem to copy the discs myself.

In dvd decrypter I followed instructions by pressing MODE>ISO>READ then when it's finished MODE>ISO>WRITE. It doesn't work, my ps2 doesn't recognise the discs. Where am I going wrong chaps!!!!!!!

DVD+RW are definitely not the preferred type of media you want to use for PS2 backups. Try DVD-R with a RITEKG04 of RITEKG05 dye, or comparible quality media. Try DVD-R first, maybe your PS2 takes DVD+R as well. But the PS2 doesn't like rewritable media.

first off don't just go out and search for a long time for certin media just get whatever you feel is good and test it out chances are it will work, use -r if you have an older version or +r for newer since it reads better.

try just buying small packages of other media! I started with Verbatim from Wal-mart to try aand havent had problems yet! At least media problems. But on another note my PS2 cant read Memorex or other cheaper brands of media from wal-mart, but my brothers PS2 can!!! So youll just have to try some out! But think he better media the better it will be on your laser! And the less stress on the laser the longer it will last!
