The sad part is I do know, I have one in the garage right next a slot 1 Pentium 2.

Those were the days!

Sex was so much cheaper then, and you could download **** off the internet without having to worry about spyware or having to leave a credit card number.

hi,
there is a cable included with the HD, it's a 40pin, 80conductor cable. seems to have more wires than my existing cable which i was using. i'll give it a whirl tomorrow and i'll place the right colors and jumpers according to the manual. i'll get back with the outcome.

still not working, i've downloaded a upgrade for my bios. hopefully it's all that's wrong, crossing my fingers!

What problems does the Bios flash say it will address?

If it's not a specific problem you are having then there is no point flashing it.

You really need to go back to basics here.

Install one drive for now on the Primary Controller as the Master.

Make sure it's detected in the Bios and then format and install Windows.

there is only one other thing to do, the default way! anyhow, if that doesn,t work, how do i go about transferring from one HD to another?
