Default Wireless Access Point.

Hi, I have aquired a Linksys WAP54g, the set up instructions specify this has to be plugged into a router, not directly into the cable modem, is this correct?

Reply from elsewhere.

Yes, you need a router to connect the WAP to. For one thing, you
need DHCP and NAT in order to connect more than one IP device to the
CM, which won't be supplied by the WAP. You could connect the WAP
direct to the CM if you bought a number of IP addresses from NTL, but
I don't think they do that.
