Default Data DVD - Illegal disc error

sponsored links

I tryed doing a search already and couldn't find any topics about this

I'm trying to back up my files becuase i'm geting a new PC which uses serial ATA HDs and mine i have now are IDE.
I burned 2 DVDs and then all of a sudden now after a few seconds it tells me its an "illegal disc"
I'm using Ridata, and i've been using them for quit some time now. I tryed using some other program i donwloaded and thats giving me errors as well. A few tiems it did successfully burn, but then it shows nothing on the disc.

DMA is on. Nero ASPI is installed. I uninstalled Nero and my Pinoneer 106D burner. Maybe I need some kind of driver... i did recently reinstall my OS, however its been working fine as I said, it just suddenly startd doing this as i was in the middle of burning DVDs.

I've never had any burn errors before, I had some slow down issues before but never errors.

Below is a log file..... hope someone can help, thanks

Are the discs you using DVDrW ? it also looks like you have chosen to make a multisession disks? turn off Auto run and try the same operation again using Nero Burning Rom and not the Nero express

Yes the discs are rewritable, I've been using them for weeks now. I turned off multisession, i don't need that.... (still get the error)
but i don't have nero burning rom, just exrpess 6, unless I'm confused what you are talking about.
Where is the option for auto run? it must be off already anyway, becuase i always gotta launch Nero manually

EDIT: ok this is why I'm confused... its probably me. But I uninstalled, reinstalled and updated it, when I do that I see that it always says Nero Burning ROM in the title at the top.
When I usually use the program i use Nero SmartStart, which leads me to the screen where you drop files, but it says Nero Express at the top. The same screen as i would get when I go to Nero Express in the program menu. niether of them say Nero Burning ROM at the top. I'm feeling really stupid here

EDIT2: well I just tryed using a non-rewriteable disc and its working, well it gets to 100% anyway. But it won't finalize, It just keeps going......

I still can't ge this working. i'm in contact with nero tech support and nothing they have suggested is working either.
They had me use a few of their cleaning programs, to completely delete nero, from the registery as well, plus delete any other CD\DVD drivers that may be on my PC. then I downlaoed the newest version from their site which was released a few days ago... I still get the error...
