Disc Manufacturer: Dvsn-1 - 60 <<< never heard of those disks
and is probably the cause of the problem

yes mate, your disks are garbage to be quite honest
using good quality disk will probably solve your problem
you can always try updating the firmware on the drive first

It's glaringly obvious, at least to me.

You have DMA off on all your drives.

And to make things worse, it's also off on your hard drive.

That means your system is working in PIO mode, which is much slower and problematic.

To check DMA, go to Start, Run and type in devmgmt.msc then OK.

Under IDE ATA/Atapi controllers (Click the + sign), double-click the Primary IDE Channel, then go to the Advanced Settings tab.

It should be Ultra DMA Mode 4 or 5.

Then do the same for Secondary. It should be 2 to 4.

After you change them, reboot. If XP keeps reverting to PIO mode, which it does by design when it encounters a certain number of errors, try updating your motherboard/chipset drivers.

Here is a link with some more info, and a script to enable DMA if you don't feel competent enough with my directions.

********winhlp.com/WxDMA.htm

Whether or not this is linked to your problem, it should still be resolved, as it's slowing your system down.
