sponsored links

Hey, i was given a copy of final fantasy 8 for the pc, the CD's were copies, anyways onto my problem, it installed perfect but when i go to run the game and start a new game, it asks for disc 1 when the disc 1 is already inserted, someone said something about volume labels being wrong, does anybody know what the correct volume label is? i'd really be appreciative of any help or information that anyone could give me about my problem

As far as I know, that particular game doesn't have any copy protection, so the copies should work okay?

Anyway, download a no cd patch for the game and you won't require the CD to play it.

Hi!

I have the same problem, I've downloaded a nocd patch and copied over all the relevant files from the 4 cds, but when I start a new game, it still asks for CD 1. When I press select, it says "Wrong Disk, Caution".

Can someone please help me with this problem, because I had the game a few years ago on the Playstation, but never got round to completing it.

Thanks in advance,

Akira

Try another patch from a different "author" as they all aren't perfect.

Ive tried at least 5 or 6 dif ones and none of them seem to work at all, ive used one from inferno, tnt, fbsa, and a few others.
