It's really unusual to have problems with those resistors if you haven't had laser protection fitted. You sure that each resistor is measuring that high?

Where abouts are you?

You can get smd resistors from rs components if you're in the u.k

I measured the points in the diagram not the individual resistors, the Rst points. the resistors themselves measured like 29k ohms...if I remember correctly.

They're correct then. As there was never any solder install Aside from the laser and lid switches, there really isn't anything else it could be.

Just wanted to post that my PS2 is working now. Turned out the switches must have went bad after being glued down for a while. I soldered a jumper wire so the switches are always closed.
