Default Liteon 48246S wont read blank media after overburn!

sponsored links

So i made 2 disks with overburning support with my nero 6, i used 700mb disks which i overnurned to 710 megs. Then i inserted 3rd disk, it popped up window, which asked for blank disk, however disk was empty and it was inserted. Then i looked disk from "my computer" window, it said " D:\ Not accessible, incorrect function"

After that tried firmware update, still nothing. tried other disks (films, games, data etc) reads out fine, copys fine. But if i insert blank disk, it will try to read it longer time than usual cd, tired numerous empty disks, different brands. No change. Nero driveseped detects drive read speed 12x (but will read @ 48x) and burning speed 48x.

Tnx for any help

You may have damaged your dirve by overclocking the burner and updating the firmware. You can try uninstalling Nero and install the latest firmware update but be warned this may totally kill your drive.

Have you tried 650MB discs?

well, as i said, it does not recognise disks, so what has nero do with it? If i uninstall nero it will autpmatically start recognising blank cds?

Tried reading cd-rw with some stuff on it, everything was fine.
