Yes it works, it's from Micro$$oft.

When you delete the filters keys (in case they are corrupt) and reboot, Windows will recreate new versions.

the upper filters were not in the registry. is this normal.
how should i back up the registry and stuff. need more detail please. thanks.
after deleting the lower filter previously my computer got messed up and the screen shut off after the wondows load screen.

If the UpperFilters aren't there, it's no cause for concern.

To back up the Registry, you can right-click the Registry Key (folder on the right-hand side), and select Export.

Then save it to your desktop. It will have a .reg extension.

If anything goes wrong, you can start in Safe Mode and double-click on this file to re-enter the data back. It's that simple.


If you want to backup the entire Registry instead of just one Key, you can using File, then Export. (Import allows you to import a previous .reg backup file)


If you are using System Restore, it would also be wise to create a Restore Point beforehand.

It's in Start, All Programs, Accessories, then System Tools.
