Default Xbox Mod Problems

sponsored links

Hi there, first post cause I need some help. I have been helping a friend mod his Xbox. We soft modded it and then added a new Hard Drive. We add Xbox Media Center and then FTP'ed over some isos. They didn't run, so we got a mounting program for the isos. Then they run and get to an early point and say that there is a dirty or broken (?) disc in the drive and try and clean it. We tested some old games (One of the James Bond games) and Ninja Gaiden and 007 ran fine but Ninja Gaiden did it even with the original disc. Are we missing something with the iso or is the DVD drive messed up? Thanks.

the dvd drive could be failing, but I doubt that is the reason your getting the dd error from the hard drive. you may want to get a program that can rip the files out of the iso, and ftp them to the games folder.. the mounting utility could have missed a file.
