Default Burning Neo Geo CD Games From Coolrom?

sponsored links

I bought a regular fliptop Neo Geo CD on Ebay and I got at least 80 (Let's just say theres a lot) games for it and I def. want to back them being that they are rare and so many. I was looking for ways to burn them but only a few are open like 5. I really rather not open them because I'm going to get a good price when I decide to sell them. I was wondering if the files off of CoolRom which are in .rar format them decompressed are .iso for diskjuggler I was wondering if that would work on my fliptop Neo Geo system. Thank you so much I can belive I won all this stuff off ebay though the only problem is I can't play any of the games lol
Cheers

Default

did you find out how to burn onto cd for play onto the flip top neo?

i bought a neo thinking i could just convert the mp3's into wav and then make a cue sheet with the iso and wav's.

i have burned the iso and wav's but the cd plays like a audio cd. you put it in the neo and you can play the autracks, but it doesnt tell you to press start to enter the game. the iso wont boot

Default ok.. heres how i do it!

Hi NeoGeo Fans!

i registered just to tell u.. i hope u appreciate it !!!

- unrar the .rar file u got off coolrom..

- use razorlame (or any other tool u got) to decompress the .mp3 files back to.wav (u wont need the mp3s afterwards anymore)

- open the .cue file (which should be in the same folder as the rest).. if u open it it should look like this:

FILE "Ninja Combat - Track 01.iso" BINARY
TRACK 01 MODE1/2048

i basically changed all the MP3 into WAVE and edited the file extension also

make sure the .iso file has the same name as described in the .cue file.

then i renamed all my .wav to have the same name as in the .cue file also.
(u can even put ur own music in there.. its just the right name its gotta have-and the right track numbers)

when ure done dont forget to save ur .cue file.. (can be very annoying if u forget to

- then i open nero and use the File->Burn Image option from the dropdown menu -->SELECT THE .CUE FILE<--

try burning at the lowest possible speed (i had to dig out my old burner which can still burn at 2x speed) all cds burned on more than 4x were ****ed! so burn at 4x or lower!!

now heres the tricky part: finding a cd-rom to burn on which the neogeo can handle .. ive tried a few.. so far this worked best : SONY CD-R 700MB(80min) 1-48x compatible (its the ones that are white on the top for printing on)
i guess the ceramic plated TDKs for audio will do it too.. havent tried yet tho. but those are also pretty good.

i'd really appreciate any other recommendations when it comes to CD-Rs that work for burning neogeo games

I hope this helps the community! have fun playin!!

cheers,
eyvind
