Default editing evox.ini

sponsored links

i have successfulling installed an xecuter 2.6 ce into my v1.6 xbox and flashed it with the appropriate xecuter bios and now i am attempting to create an evox boot disk. my question is regarding the network settings.
i will be using a crossover cable to directly connect my xbox to pc. when i go to run=>cmd=>C:\ipconfig, i get a list of my ip adress, subnet mask, and default gateway. do i put these numbers in evox.ini?
also, would it be easier just to use slayers auto install if i have never used evox before?

in my experience in evox, you just need to chnage the ip address, you do not need to change the others as with evox you probably are not going on line with it, you are just connecting to your computer.
so just change the ip addy to one like 19.168.1.## if your computer is 192.168.1.##. if your computer is 192.168.0.## then your xbox should be 192.168.0.##(where # = a number from 1 - 99)

with regard to the slayers installer, if you are a true noob then use it but you will find in the future you will not need it as once your computer is set up for network with your xbox, you have more control over it.

you should head over to www.xbox-scene.com for more tutorials.

one last thing get yourself xbmc and use that, great multimedia player and dashboard, you will not need evox if you get this, you will find tutorials at xbox scene.

hope this is helpfull.

yep that should be ok, but remember don't touch the subnet and leave it at 255.255.255.0
