Default Windows XP USB 2.0 Drivers (again)

sponsored links

Hey guys!
I've read this thread
***********.cdrom-guide.com/forums/showthread.php?t=250266
and I have the same problem as "testicus", and I don't want to install Service Pack 1 either.
However, the files in the thread seem to be out of date . And now Microsoft has released Service Pack 2, with integrated USB 2.0-drivers
Is there ANY way on earth I can make my Windows XP USB2-compatible without any Service Packs?

Yours sincerely

Stop being so stuborn and install SP1 or SP2, i have with no probs, USB 2 is then installed automaticaly.

USB2 with XP is very stuborn at installing these drivers, the easiest way is to install SP1 OR SP2, this cures the prob with XP.

You will then get in Device Manager - Universal Serial Bus Controllers - the entry SiS PCI to USB Enhanced Host Controller.

With this entry you have USB2 installed.

Thank you for your answer.

I would install SP1 if I could, the problem is every time I try I get this error message about my Windows certification being false, and that I should contact Microsoft. Probably, in order to install SP1, I'll have to re-install Windows and I just want to know if there is an easier way.

Best regards
