Exclamation DivX/Xvid help needed.

Can anyone help me?

I have downloaded some episodes of a TV series using Limewire. When I tried to play one, it had sound but poor picture quality. Using GSpot 2.7, I found I needed the Xvid codec, so I downloaded it. Problem solved.

I then tried to play another file and had sound/poor picture again. I onc again used GSpot and it told me I need the DivX codec. I downloaded the Nimo Codec Pack, which contained DivX. This sorted out the problem.

Then, when I tried to play the first file again, I had lost the picture quality after downloading the Nimo Codec Pack. How do I resolve this. All I wish to do is download videos and be able to play them. Is there a way I can do this?

Try ffdshow codec pack. That should have all the required codecs.

Make sure you uninstall all other codec packs first.

Don't know if it will solve all your problems, codecs are many and messy at the best of times.
