newsgroups, direct connect, irc, and fxp boards.

they're your best bets.

Direct connect by far the best out there. And so simple to use. I no longer waste time with anything else.

Why would anyone waste time with any internet file sharing programs. Newsgroups are so far ahead of any of that stuff that its unreal. Consistent 200k/s speeds and 99-100% file completeness. Thats where its at

well said that man,

the bonuses I see are:

good constant speed even in the UK from US servers,
early releases, maybe not as early as fxp or irc but pretty good,
files split so if you have a problem you don't have to d/l the whole thing again, just get a repost or use par.
more info than many sources as you get an nfo, know the group who released, and often get a sample to see the quality.

I agree with both of you. All I ever use is my copy of Agent v1.9 and my cable internet connection.. I download movies at speeds ranging from 150 - 300 kb/sec (compared to Kazza/Morpheus/DirectConnect/iMesh/etc which range from 2 to 50 kb/sec)... and now with yenc (for quicker downloads) and par files (no more fill begging), it's a no-brainer.
