Default serious cdrecorder.exe burning issue...

sponsored links

hi!!!

i've got a problem... and i have tried to find answers but without any result...
ok here it is:
i want to burn vanishing point. the image i got has got 2 sessions, first one like always the audio session and second one is data... ok, but the audio session has got 9 audio-tracks, i think they are needed by the game (music i think...) i've extracted all these tracks/files with isobuster...

then i burned the first data-session (because i got a new dc), then i wanted to burn the audio session, but cdrecorder gives me the following error-msg:
"cdrecord: Invalid request code. read error on input file"

and now i'm asking myself and you too, why cdrecorder won't work? btw. i tried to play the wav-files with winamp, but they can't be played really well, is it because the files are corrupted or because of another wav/audio-track-format for the dc....

here the complete log-file:

F:\work\cd>cdrecord dev=1,0,0 -multi -audio speed=4 f:\work\cd\audio Where you put f:\work\cd\audio is that what you put exactly? I think since you just typed audio without the extension its looking for a directory(folder)named audio not a file so maybe try adding the extension to it.
Ex.
If the file you were trying to burn was audio.raw put audio.raw instead of just audio.
I'm not sure what you were try to do with that command above so this might not work.
And for converter try www.megagames.com for programs like that.

hi!!

thx for the fast reply

command: F:\work\cd>cdrecord dev=1,0,0 -multi -audio speed=4 f:\work\cd\audio

in f:\work\cd\audio are the 9 audio tracks, i extracted with isobuster from the cdi-image. so i want to burn an audio session with these 9 audio tracks situated in the folder shown above...

yeah, thx for the link to mg.com, but this was the first site i searched for such a converter.... they don't have one (they got the cdi2nero but i need a nero2cdi )
so, does anybody else know a nero-image-converter???

another question, i read in one posting something about a wrecked dc-gd-rom-motor... is the dc-drive known for those defects?

So you want to burn the 9 audio tracks to the cd first?
If so it says in Echelons selfboot tutorial that you have to tell Cdrecord every audio file you want to burn at a time(Or you can just use CDrwin).
Ex.
If you want to burn "track01.wav" and "track02.wav" then you have to type
cdrecord -dev=x,x,x -multi -audio \cdda\track01.wav \cdda\track02.wav etc.
speed=4
Here is whats from Echelons tutorial
1) CDRWIN Method:

a) Fire up CDRWIN.
Goto the first icon on the top left: "Record Disc"
b) Click the icon in the top right corner: "Load tracks"
c) Click add, then choose ALL trackxx.wav files in your "cdda"
directory. Arrange them in order so they go from track01.wav
to the end. Click OK to add them to your disc layout.
d) Click the tab "Open New Session" near the bottom.
e) Burn this CD.

2) CDRECORD Method:

a) If your CD-Recorder cannot use the "Open New Session" option
in CDRWIN, You have one more way to do it, that may or may not
work.
b) In the "selfboot" directory you should have the cdrecord toolset
unzipped. You should see files such as cdrecord.exe, mkisofs.exe,
and cygwin1.dll.
c) Run the following command from a DOS Prompt:
cdrecord -scanbus
d) This should show you a list of CD-ROM and CD-Recorder units installed
in your system. Look for your CD-Recorder and find the SCSI Bus ID#.
It will be in format x,x,x. It will also be referred to as x,x,x for
the rest of this tutorial.
e) In your "selfboot" directory, run the following command to record
the 1st session of the disk:

cdrecord -dev=x,x,x -multi -audio \cdda\track01.wav \cdda\track02.wav etc.

Continue going with your track list until you have input all tracks
in order. If this whole command does not fit into your DOS Prompt,
make a batch file with this long command and run the batch file.

You can optionally include "speed=x" after -audio, Where x is the
maximum speed that your CD-Recorder can record at.
