Question problem with importing mpeg1 files into spruceup

im having problems importing some mpeg1 files into spruceup after reencoding the file using tmpenc. I usually get the error 'error reading video file'

Can anyone help me to overcome this. It doesnt do it all the time, only with 1 in 9-10.

TIA

Interesting. . . I didn't think spruce could even handle Mpeg 1 files. Maybee its the dimensions of teh file it has a poblem with? Or maybe the audio rate.

the size is set to 352x288 for pal and 352x240 for ntsc, audio 48k 192kbits . Its strange cos 2 mpegs taken from the same source and re-encoded at the same time are not guaranteed to work ?

In tmpeg tools >> Simple demux
Then you have an m1v and an mp2 file then what i do is use Videopack 5 and change the mp2 to an mpa audio file.
Just make sure the audio filename is the same as the video as spruce up looks for this after importing the video file.
The same works for svcd also - but you need to patch the video file with dvd patcher before spruce up will accept it.
