Default Audio problem using VOB2AUDIO

sponsored links

Extracting a music DVD audio track using VOB2AUDIO produced a very flat sounding result with some volume variations across the wave (not dramatic but noticable). Options used were extract to wave in stereo mode with both vocal. BTW the DVD had DD, DTS & PCM tracks.

Extracting using DVD2AVI however produced excellent results. Have I used the wrong settings in VOB2AUDIO?

Try HeadAC3e, it always gives good sounding results for me.

You could also try setting dvd2avi to demux all tracks and use BeSweet.

HeadAC3he seems to require an AC3 file - that is the only option is to open source is an AC3 file. I can extract an AC3 file using VOB2AUDIO but am I missing a step somewhere?

Thanks

Yes it only opens AC3 files, hence the name.. I always just demux the AC3 file while ripping.
