Well my liteon ltd 163 works fine , no probs and works excelent along side my a03 on the fly

Best buy i think is the lite on 16x(dvd)48x(cdrom)

Buy this one....Toshiba SD-M 1612.....about £50-£55......will read everything including DVD RAM......works faultlessley....you will not regret buying it....go here for a good deal...***********.afterhours.co.uk/ If you don't see it there ......mail him
This guy gives you a 110% service...with no $hit.....
The Liteon does not read some of the cheaper dvdr's.....I had 2 and both were the same

Agreed, the Liteon is very choosy. I have one and I'm less than impressed. Been waiting for a good recomendation so cheers Lyndsay I'll try the Tosh. Must admit my Tosh CD reader is blistering, best CD based reader I ever had.

I was wondering Lyndsay, I have a Panasonic dmre20 that records to 4.7gig ram discs. Can the Toshiba read the E20s recordings. If so do you know if you can either rip the Ram disc or copy Ram to DVDr or CDr. Basically is there anyway you can do anything with the Ram recordings, what sofware would you use for Ram recordings
