Default sega gen: getting the lemec loader to work

sponsored links

i have the sega gen emulator for dc (hacked smash pak) but it uses the echelon front end rom loader. i want to use obidain's lemec loader. i downloaded the lemec loader and tried to use the tutorial for making the disc but i had a problem. i used the echelon self boot tutorial to make a dir called selboot. then i moved the right files to the right folders, opened a dos prompt the i typed in the command that looks like this:
-cdrecord x,x,x (i forget the exact command but it was something like that)
then i got the error message:
bad command or file

what gives? do i need a special file or program to complete the process? please help.....thanks!

***********.geocities.com/shsrpr/cdrecord.zip

If you don't already have these tools, unzip them into your c:\selfboot\ folder.

Then try again.

thanks but the link is dead.
i downloaded and unzipped echelons selfboot program into the c:\selfboot folder.
i would think that if i needed a certain file they would have mentioned it in the segagen tutorial.

is there any other way to make the lemec loader to work?

Damn, the link was working when I posted it earlier. And yeah, I wrote the SegaGen tutorial. I didn't realize that the cdrecord files didn't come with Echelon's Selfboot Tutorial (since they came with mine, but I didn't d/l the official e-sbtut file). So I threw them up on my site (geocities sucks tho) in case anybody needed them.
