Angry Nero popping noises with crossfader

I have been making mixed CD's and when I apply the crossfader option there is a loud popping noise between the all tracks I crossfade. I've tried using using 0 seconds 1 second and 2 seconds. Still getting loud popping noise. Any suggestions.

I believe the popping is not on the original tracks. Try:

- Doubleclick on the highlighted tracks to open their Audio Track Info box;

- Select the tab Filters;

- Enable Normalize using Maximum method at 95 to 98 percent;

- Select the tab Properties and set "Cross fade with previous track" for 3 to 5 Frames.
