Well not exaclty
If the game has an antimod detection and you dont have a stealth modchip but are stuck with a standard one you will still need to patch the game to remove the antimod detection
If you dicide you wanna test that out for the heck of it i know that the U/C-NTSC version of Legend of Dragoon is a good one to test since if it detects the chip and isn't patched it'll boot straight into a black screen with a red circle with a line through it and a 1-800 number
The 1:1 copy of CloneCD can defeat the Libcrypt protection though
