You can try flashing to ZS0A firmware but it may just be a configuration problem, something may be locking the drive like InCD or DirectCD perhaps.
If you flash to ZS0A could you please use [url=http://wald.heim.at/sherwood/530742/dvd/mt/mktflash_138.zip]MTKFLSH.EXE to read the old firmware BIN file before flashing and save it in case the new firmware does not improve things? Would be nice to have. MTKFLASH works in pure DOS and lets you revert to the old firmware, which apparently the standard Lite-ON windows flasher doesn't.
