Talking Can TAO (Not Closed) mode be readable!!!

Hi, I have Sony CD Extreme and I burn my Data CD in TAO (Not Closed) mode, But if I use this option, would this CD be readable on another computers that doesn't have this Sony CD Extreme program.

Becuz last time, I use Direct CD to copy my files to a CDR, and then when I use the CD on another computers that doesn't has this program, it say that this disk is unreadable!!!
