can any one tell me the best way to convert the .dat file in a vcd from ntsc to pal, i have been using TMPGEnc and it is taking up 16-17 hours per disk does this sound right to you guys ???? or is there a quicker way

Sounds about right if you've got a very slow computer.
You'll need a faster one if you want to reduce the encoding time.

cheers m8, as it happens i have just walked through my front door with a new pc (athlon xp 1700+) it's got to be better than the old 333mhz i was using, well i f*****g hope so or there'll be trouble !!
