Default Problem saving pics

why when i save a .bmp pic and i try to open it with photoshop, paint or windows viewer it says error? what can i check to male sure that i can viewed the pic i try saving the same pic on my sisters computer and it work

ok heres the problem the image is a JPEG but when i right click and go to save picture as i can only choose .Art or .Bmp so when i try to open the pic or view i can't because its not saved as a .Jpeg
does anyoine know why?

Not sure what you mean by "save" the pictures. Do you mean download or save from an application.

what i mean by this is when u right click on a image and u go to save picture as then u choose .bmp .gif .art or .jpg i can't save as .jpg or .gif on certain pages but if i right click on the image and go to properties is a .jpg file

Try renaming it to *.jpg

If that doesnt work paint shop pro will most likely open it - i have had this prob too and the only prog. that would open it was paint shop pro

i had the same problem mate you have to go to customize in aol and choose preferences then choose internet properties and then web graphics

then choose never compress graphis in the options

restart your comp and next time you try to save a pic you can choose jpeg intsead of just art or bitmap !!!
