Default Re: AutoRun Files

make a new txt file called autorun and save as autorun.ini

right click the file and edit it ie:-

[autorun]
icon=skull2.ico ( name of icon used by CD )
run=(put you file name and extention here ) ie:-myway.wav

this should work ? what I do usually is burn it to a CDRW

first to check !!

I made the file and burned it onto the cd with the file. Put the CD in and nothing happened. Was there some special way I was suppose to burn it. I just burned a normal data cd using Nero. Here is exactly what I have in the file. Is it alright to use long file names?

icon=cd.ico
run=The Musketeer (DIVX).avi

Lol I made some mistakes on the file. The biggest was not naming it Autorun. I am reburning and will let you know how it turns out.

Here is the new file. This time when I put the CD in I get an error message.

[autorun]
open=The Musketeer (DIVX).avi
icon=myicon.ico
label=The Musketeer

Any ideas whats wrong this time?

Would help to know what the error message was? Although the 'open' should be a 'run'. Open is for an executable, and run is to run a program associated with the file type specified.
