Hi my brother wants to buy a P.C he said he wants to use it for producing letters and newsletters
making a website
accounts
records
and details on stockists in the area

he wants it for his bussiness

please could you tell me what hardware and software to get

Well you don't need to go out and buy the fastest machine on the market if its not being used for games and even if you get one with a fast processor you certainly dont need a hot graphics card.

You're best bet is to go to a local computer fair (if you have one, plenty in the UK). They have ready made systems and you can basically spend as little or as much as you want. They usually come with Windows and basic Office software installed.

The lower spec machines (which will probably be enough based on what you've said) will set you back around 200 - 250. If you need to buy a monitor, printer etc etc you're costs will, of course, increase.

green blade is right you can get a good pc for your needs from you computer fair if you have one in your local area. I would expect you could get quiet a good system for about 200- 300
at my local fair u can get a
800mhz
20Gig
32mb grahics card
128 Ram
modem
52x cd rom

all of this for about 250
