I like ZoneAlarm. It is a good product. However, I have become a big fan of the free Kerio Personal Firewall (previously the free Tiny Personal Firewall).

It has a lot of great features.

Check it out - www.kerio.com

Either way, ZoneAlarm and Kerio are both capable products.

Zack, what is the difference between the free version of Kerio and the one you have to pay for? Also, are you saying that Tiny got bought out?

crowdaddy,

I have to be honest, I have been so busy the last few weeks, I haven't had the time to look into it. I went looking to see if there was an update for Tiny a couple weeks ago, and I couldn't find the free version (at least not a recent version)... Asked around online and someone said Kerio Personal Firewall is what was Tiny... Downloaded it and it works great. Haven't had much time to look into it though. Will do so this weekend and let you know. I can say this for sure - Kerio definitely appears to be Tiny, architecture-wise... they have just added a few features.

Also the first version of Kerio in the version history is -

2.1.0 Beta 1, Beta 2 - February 5, 2002

...which is approximately where Tiny left off.

I am curious as well and I'll let you know what I find out.

Kerio is great as are Sygate and Outpost IMHO. And the best thing is they all offer FREE versions!
